Designating Wednesday, January 26, 2000, as "Children's Day".

Whereas, As we begin a new millennium, let us rededicate ourselves to our youth. Let us instill in them the enthusiasm and imaginative creativity which has characterized this nation since its inception; and
Whereas, Our responsibility is the pursuit of opportunities which will make a difference in the well-being and educational enhancements that will enable children to become productive citizens; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That Wednesday, January 26, 2000, is hereby designated as "Children's Day"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That as West Virginia moves into the new millennium, let us all rededicate our resources to our greatest natural resource, our children; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the appropriate officials of the Coalition for West Virginia's Children.
